Next Chapter Coaching

Christ-Centered Coaching for Women Standing at a Crossroads.

Are you in a season where something is changing, but you are not quite sure what comes next?

Maybe one chapter has ended. A role you once knew well has shifted.  Or perhaps grief, motherhood, marriage, ministry, caregiving, divorce, an empty nest, a career change, or simply years of doing what needed to be done have brought you to a place you did not expect.

You may know you cannot stay exactly where you have been -- but the road ahead is not clear yet.

And somewhere in the middle of all that change, you may find yourself asking:

What does the next chapter of my life look like now?

Next Chapter Coaching may be for you if you are:

  • Clarifying what matters most in this season of your life

  • Sorting through a decision without feeling rushed into one

  • Recognizing the gifts, priorities, desires, or calling that may be becoming clearer

  • Separating what you genuinely want from what others expect of you

  • Turning ideas or possibilities into practical next steps

  • Moving forward after a season that required most of your energy

  • Creating a plan while still leaving room for prayer, discernment, and God’s direction

  • Having someone walk alongside you as you move from thinking about what comes next to actually beginning it

You do not need a complete plan before you begin.

Sometimes the next chapter begins by noticing what is changing, asking the right questions, and deciding what your next step actually needs to be.

What We Will Explore

In Next Chapter Coaching, we will look at where you are, what you are carrying, and where God may be leading you.

Together, we may explore:

Your current season
What has changed, what feels unsettled, and what needs to be identified before you move forward.

Your deeper desires and concerns
The hopes, fears, questions, and longings that may be rising beneath the surface.

Your gifts and calling
The strengths, experiences, passions, and burdens God may be using to point you toward your next step.

Your decision or direction
The specific choice, transition, relationship, ministry, work, or life change you are trying to discern.

Your obstacles
The fear, confusion, people-pleasing, overthinking, grief, guilt, or uncertainty that may be making it hard to move.

Your next step
A clear, prayerful, realistic step you can take without needing the whole path revealed at once.

Coaching or Counseling?

Next Chapter Coaching is different from counseling.

Counseling often gives more space to look back, process pain, understand patterns, and tend to places of grief, identity, or healing.

Coaching is more focused on where you are now and what comes next.

Many women may come to Next Chapter Coaching after completing a Storybrook six-week journey, but you do not have to complete another program first. You may simply be in a season where you need wise, prayerful support as you discern your next chapter.

Available Coaching Options

The Compass Session
A focused 90-minute Christ-centered discernment session for one specific decision, transition, or next step.

This is a good fit if you need help sorting through one clear question, such as:

  • Should I move forward with this opportunity?

  • What is my next step after this loss or transition?

  • How do I begin what I feel called to do?

  • What do I need to let go of before I move forward?

  • What is the wise next step in this season?

Ongoing Next Chapter Coaching
For women who want continued support as they walk through a transition, build a new rhythm, make decisions, or begin taking practical steps toward a new chapter.

Follow-Up Coaching After a Six-Week Journey
For women who have completed The Truth Beneath Her Story or The Love That Remains and are ready to ask, “Now that I have named where I have been, how do I move forward?”

In-Person or Online Options
Coaching may be available online or in person at Storybrook, depending on scheduling, location, and availability.

What You May Leave With

Every woman’s process is different, but the hope of Next Chapter Coaching is that you leave with:

  • Greater clarity about your current season

  • A stronger sense of what matters most right now

  • Language for what you are discerning

  • A realistic next step

  • Encouragement rooted in faith

  • More peace around the chapter ahead

  • A reminder that you do not have to figure everything out at once

God does not always show the whole road.

Sometimes He gives just enough light for the next step.

And sometimes, that is exactly where the next chapter begins.

A Note from Michelle

I created Next Chapter Coaching because I know what it is to stand at a crossroads and ask God, “What now?”

In my own life, I have had to make decisions about whether to stay or go.

I have had to pray through open doors and closed ones, wondered whether a season was ending, questioned whether God was redirecting me, and had to sort out the difference between whether fear was holding me back, or wisdom was asking me to wait.

Ministry has led me through different roles, different places, and even different states. Each chapter brought decisions — some spiritual, some practical, some deeply personal, and some that affected nearly every part of my life.

Over the years, I have learned that discerning what comes next is not always dramatic. Often, it looks much more ordinary.

It means paying attention. Asking good questions. Looking honestly at what is working and what is not. Considering timing, responsibility, calling, family, peace, provision, and the realities of the life in front of you -- all while making room to listen for God.

This is the kind of space I wanted Next Chapter Coaching to provide.

Whatever brings you here, my hope is to help you listen well, think clearly, and move forward with wisdom, courage, and peace.
