A Christ-Centered Place for Real Stories

Storybrook is a Christ-centered ministry founded by Michelle Episcopo-Williams—a chaplain, bereavement counselor, Christian counselor, ordained minister, writer, and speaker.

It brings together several parts of Michelle’s life and calling:

At first glance, the name Storybrook may sound like it belongs only to books and writing. Stories are certainly part of it—but Storybrook is about much more than the stories we read.

It is about the stories we live.

The chapters that shaped us.
The names we were given.
The losses that changed us.
The questions we bring before God.
The relationships we are building.
The decisions standing in front of us.
And the parts of our lives that are still being written.

Many Doorways, One Heart

People may enter Storybrook in different ways.

One woman may come because she is grieving someone she loves.

Another may be trying to understand who she is after years of survival, caregiving, motherhood, ministry, or putting everyone else first.

Someone else may be facing a career decision, a move, a transition, or a door that seems to be opening or closing.

A couple may come to prepare prayerfully for marriage.

A church may invite Michelle to speak.

A reader may discover Storybrook through a book, devotional, workbook, or one of the characters and stories created within the Storybrook world.

These may look like different paths, but they are rooted in the same belief:

Your story matters to God.

Not every part of Storybrook is counseling, and not every person will need the same kind of care. But everything offered here is created to help people bring their real lives before God with honesty, wisdom, compassion, and hope.

Why “Storybrook”?

The name Storybrook holds two important ideas.

Story represents the lives we have lived—the beautiful chapters, the painful ones, the parts we understand, and the parts we are still trying to make sense of.

Brook represents movement, renewal, and the presence of God meeting us along the way. A brook does not remain frozen in one place. It continues forward, bending around what it cannot move through and carrying life wherever it goes.

Storybrook honors where you have been without believing you must remain there forever.

It makes room for remembrance and movement.
Grief and hope.
Truth and grace.
Prayer and practical wisdom.
The story already written and the chapter still ahead.

The Real Storybrook

Storybrook is not only an idea or a name on a website. It is also becoming a real place among the woods, trails, and changing seasons of the Storybrook property in southern Indiana.

As the vision grows, the land may become part of the ministry through prayer trails, reflective spaces, gatherings, counseling, writing, animals, seasonal experiences, and places where people can step away from the noise long enough to breathe, remember, listen, and pray.

The full vision is still unfolding.

But the heart of Storybrook is already here.

The Heart of It All

Storybrook exists because real life rarely fits into one simple category.

Grief can affect identity.
Marriage can reveal old wounds.
A career decision can involve both practical wisdom and spiritual discernment.
A story can help someone name what ordinary advice could not.
And sometimes a woman does not know exactly what she needs—only that she needs somewhere honest to begin.

Storybrook offers that beginning.

It is a place where faith does not require pretending. Where stories are handled with care. Where wisdom and prayer belong together. And where people are reminded that God is still present—even in chapters they never would have chosen.

Storybrook is counseling.
