Invite Michelle to Speak

Christ-Centered Messages for Churches, Conferences, Ministries, Care Organization Training and Community Events

Some messages come from years of study. Others are shaped by what life has required you to learn along the way.

Michelle speaks from both.

Her messages are grounded in Scripture and shaped by years of ministry, chaplaincy, counseling, writing, and her own experiences of loss, change, faith, calling, and beginning again.

She believes people do not need another polished Christian message that sounds good in the room and disappears before they reach the parking lot. They need biblical truth that connects with real life.

Michelle speaks with warmth, honesty, story, and a deep respect for Scripture. Her goal is not simply to communicate a message, but to help people recognize themselves somewhere inside it—and to hear God’s truth in a way that feels personal enough to remember.

Speaking from the Heart of Storybrook

The same qualities that shape Storybrook also shape Michelle’s speaking: story, compassion, thoughtful reflection, biblical truth, and a willingness to talk about the parts of life that are not always easy to package neatly.

Whether she is speaking at a women’s conference, church service, retreat, grief gathering, holiday event, memorial service, or ministry training, Michelle wants to do more than fill a speaking slot.

She wants to minister.

That means preparing carefully, handling Scripture responsibly, telling stories with purpose, making room for genuine emotion, and helping people leave with something they can carry into the life waiting for them when the event is over.

Where Michelle Speaks

Michelle is available for women’s conferences and ministry events, church services, retreats, grief and remembrance gatherings, care trainings, holiday events, memorial services, care-ministry training, hospice and bereavement events, workshops, and special community gatherings.

Each message can be shaped around the people you are serving, the purpose of your event, and what you hope they will carry home.

Michelle is available for select travel engagements and welcomes invitations from churches, conferences, ministries, car organizations, and communities outside the immediate area.

Not sure whether your event fits one of these categories? Just ask. Storybrook is happy to talk through what you are planning and see whether Michelle may be a good fit.

Common Speaking Themes

Grief & Because There Was Love

For those learning to live with loss while holding onto faith, memory, love, and the life that continues.

Identity & The Truth Beneath Her Story

For women untangling old labels, expectations, painful chapters, and the things that have shaped how they see themselves—and returning to what God says is true.

For the One

A message for churches and ministries about noticing people differently: the overlooked, the difficult, the wounded, and the person others may be tempted to avoid.

When Life Changes the Story

For seasons of transition, starting again, calling, caregiving, divorce, motherhood changes, ministry changes, or simply realizing life no longer looks the way you expected.

Storybrook & the Power of Story

How the stories we carry shape us, why they matter, and how God can bring truth, meaning, and redemption into chapters we may have wished we could rewrite.

The Stories We Carry — Mother’s Day

A Mother’s Day message that makes room for the many stories women bring into the day: celebration and gratitude, grief, complicated relationships, infertility, estrangement, empty nests, unexpected motherhood stories, and women who have mothered others without ever carrying the title.

When Love Looks Different

A unique February or Valentine’s-season message for women navigating singleness, divorce, heartbreak, changed relationships, or a life that does not resemble the love story they once imagined.

Grief Through the Holidays

Special messages and gatherings for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, anniversaries, birthdays, and other dates that can feel very different after someone dies.

Care Organization Trainings

Training and encouragement for hospice teams, nursing homes, assisted-living communities, home-health professionals, caregivers, and other care organizations working with people and families facing serious illness, dying, death, grief, and major life transitions.

Topics can be tailored to the needs of the organization and may include compassionate communication, supporting grieving families, understanding anticipatory grief, caring for the person behind the diagnosis, recognizing caregiver strain, navigating difficult conversations, and helping staff provide care with greater confidence, empathy, and presence.

Ministry Care & Compassion

Encouragement and training for pastors, ministry leaders, chaplains, volunteers, and care teams who want to walk more thoughtfully with people who are hurting.

A Storybrook Speaking Experience

Some events call for a traditional message. Others benefit from something more interactive.

Depending on the setting, Michelle can weave teaching together with Storybrook storytelling, reflection, prayer, conversation, remembrance, symbolic practices, or other meaningful elements designed specifically for the gathering.

A church may invite Michelle for a single message or keynote, a conference session, a half-day workshop, a retreat, a grief gathering, care-ministry training, or a customized Storybrook event.

The format serves the message—not the other way around.

Michelle will work with your church or organization to create an experience that fits your people and the reason you are gathering.

A Note from Michelle

When I think about speaking, I do not picture the stage first.

I think about the people sitting in the room.

Every person who walks into a gathering brings a life with them—what happened before they arrived, what they are trying to make sense of, what they have been praying about, and what they may not have told anyone yet.

I know what it is to sit beneath words that are true and yet somehow do not reach the place that hurts. And I know what it is when Scripture suddenly becomes personal—when something you have heard before reaches you differently because it meets you exactly where you are.

That is what I pray for when I speak.

I want to come prepared, but I never want preparation to replace dependence on God. I want to handle His Word carefully, tell the truth about real life, and leave enough room for the Holy Spirit to do what no speaker can manufacture.

If you invite me into your church or gathering, I will never take lightly the trust you are placing in me or the people who will be sitting in that room.

My prayer is that Jesus is honored, Scripture is handled faithfully, and someone leaves knowing that God has not overlooked her story.
